Centre affiliated to the University of Alcalá
The Cardenal Cisneros University Centre has had an affiliation agreement with the University of Alcalá (UAH) since 1979. The link with the UAH makes us part of a broader university project with a firm commitment to quality teaching, the creation and transmission of knowledge and the extension of science and culture. This affiliation also means that our degrees, taken at Cardenal Cisneros, are official degrees of the University of Alcalá.
In addition, our students have all the advantages and rights of UAH and CCUC students, such as access to scholarships, mobility programmes, libraries, sports equipment and facilities.
The Marist Institution
The University Centre is promoted by the religious congregation of the Marist Brothers. The Marist Institution was founded in 1817 by Saint Marcellin Champagnat. Its mission is directed towards the education of children and young people, especially those most in need.
The centre is also part of the Marist International Network of Institutions of Higher Education, a body composed of more than thirty universities around the world that share the educational mission and the principles of identity, belonging, parity and participation.
